About The Position

Is responsible for ensuring cleaning, sanitizing dishes, kitchen equipment, kitchen surfaces and putting clean dishes, pots, and pans back in an organized manner.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Prior dishwashing experience helpful but not necessary.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
Bending, stretching, and kneeling for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to stand, walk and often with little time to sit during an entire 6-8-hour shift.
Ability to climb staircase to haul garbage out.
Works with hot equipment and sharp utensils.
Work in humid conditions and around loud machines.
Broken glass, metal cans, cuts, burns, and slipping are hazards of job.
Ability to lift, carry and/or move up to forty pounds.
Walking on wet or slippery floors.
Ability to work flexible hours/shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays required.

Responsibilities

Assists the kitchen crew to maintain the highest quality and production of the operation.
Cleans and sanitizes dishes, pots, pans, and other dishware used in the restaurant according to sanitation and cleaning procedures.
Restocks clean dinnerware, glassware, silverware and pot/pans and kitchen utensils.
Completes assigned prep work duties as directed.
Communicates continually with all restaurant and bar staff.
Keeps kitchen clean by sweeping and mopping floors.
Always keep sanitation solution up to code standards.
Removes trash and rubbish from kitchen and stairway.
Performs all duties in a timely and effective manner.
Periodic deep cleaning projects.
Maintains a teamwork attitude.
Other duties as assigned.
