About The Position

As a Dishwasher, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our dining services operation. You will be responsible for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are washed, sanitized, and stored properly, by health and safety regulations. This position requires a compassionate individual who takes pride in providing exceptional service and contributing to the well-being of our residents.

  • Must observe resident’s rights.
  • Prior experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils by hand or using commercial dishwashing equipment.
  • Ensure that all dishes and utensils are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and dried according to health and safety standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dishwashing area, including keeping sinks, countertops, and floors clean and free of debris.
  • Empty and clean trash bins regularly, disposing of waste in designated receptacles.
  • Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients.
  • Monitor inventory of dishwashing supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling and storing cleaning chemicals, ensuring safety precautions are observed at all times.
  • Collaborate with dining services team members to ensure smooth operation and timely delivery of meals to residents.
  • Must subscribe to and uphold Snyder Village's Mission and Values.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
