About The Position

Responsible for dishwashing and other general housekeeping tasks. Maintains the Culinary Department in a sanitary, safe, and clean condition that meets hospital, Health Department and Joint Commission standards. Position Details Housekeeping & Dishwasher Position PRN, on call or as needed Pay Rate: Based on Experience ($17.00 - $21.75) Availability needed: Sunday-Saturday for variable shifts Shift Assignments: 7am or 8am-4:30pm, 2pm-10:30pm, 5pm-10pm Benefits Eligible: No

Requirements

• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work
• One or more year of experience in general housekeeping or food service preferred
• Demonstrates ability to read color coded labels and chemicals as well as following written and verbal directions
• Demonstrate ability to operate housekeeping equipment and dish machine (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes dishes
• Collects carts with patient trays from hospital floors.
• Cleans and disinfects assigned areas including dining areas using department cleaning procedures.
• Uses cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
• Understands procedures and properly disposes of infectious waste and trash.
• Operates and maintains assigned equipment (e.g. commercial dishwasher) according to established procedures.
