About The Position

The Dishwasher plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food prep areas at Plum Market. This role is responsible for washing and sanitizing all tableware, cookware, and kitchen equipment, as well as cleaning floors, walls, coolers, and other surfaces. The Dishwasher ensures a safe and sanitary environment that supports food safety and smooth back-of-house operations. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position ideal for someone who takes pride in clean, efficient work.

Requirements

Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a structured environment.
Strong sense of urgency and attention to sanitation and safety practices.
Self-motivation and reliability in completing repetitive tasks with consistency.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break.
Ability to bend and stoop to grasp objects, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, and push/pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs. unassisted.

Responsibilities

Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, cutting boards, and kitchen equipment.
Clean and maintain all kitchen surfaces, including floors, walls, sinks, coolers, and work areas.
Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals and tools in accordance with safety standards.
Monitor dish area and ensure clean items are available throughout the day.
Remove trash and recyclables regularly and ensure proper disposal procedures are followed.
Assist with basic kitchen prep tasks when needed and support team cleanliness efforts.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines.
Communicate effectively with fellow Team Members and kitchen leadership.
Uphold all Plum Market policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.
