About The Position

Responsible for dishwashing and other general housekeeping tasks. Maintains the Culinary Department in a sanitary, safe, and clean condition that meets hospital, Health Department and Joint Commission standards. This role involves dishwashing duties and requires working around water and standard dishwashing chemicals. The candidate must demonstrate strong collaboration abilities, working effectively with diverse teams to achieve department objectives.

Requirements

• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work (required only in the states of Utah and Idaho).
• Demonstrates ability to read color coded labels and chemicals as well as following written and verbal directions
• Cleaning
• Housekeeping
• Dishwashing
• Operate equipment
• Communicate clearly

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrate ability to operate housekeeping equipment and dish machine (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes dishes
• Collects carts with patient trays from hospital floors.
• Cleans and disinfects assigned areas including dining areas using department cleaning procedures.
• Uses cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
• Understands procedures and properly disposes of infectious waste and trash.
• Operates and maintains assigned equipment (e.g. commercial dishwasher) according to established procedures
