About The Position

Come join our Dining Services Team. Penick Village, Inc. Continuing Care Retirement Community is looking for a Dishwasher/Steward to support delivery of fast paced customer focused dining service to Residents and guests, at all levels of care. The Dishwasher/Steward is vital to delivering service excellence. This position is responsible for cleaning the dishes and utensils customers use, removes trash, as well as cleans food preparation areas. Work extends beyond cleaning dishes and putting them away. The Dishwasher/Steward is vital to delivering service excellence. This position is responsible for cleaning the dishes and utensils customers use, as well as making sure the kitchen's food preparation supplies are clean. Work extends beyond cleaning dishes and putting them away. It requires working collaboratively and proactively with dining team members.

  • Report all incidents/accidents to Department Leader before the end of the shift.
  • Must adhere to personnel policies, safety policies and resident rights.

Responsibilities

  • Report to kitchen in clean uniform ready for work.
  • Take resident carts to assigned areas at assigned times.
  • Deliver to-go items as assigned.
  • Sweep, scrub, mop all floors at assigned times.
  • Retrieve all resident carts at assigned times.
  • Break down carts and wash all dishes, glasses, silverware, and trays at assigned times.
  • Restock clean dishes to assigned staging areas at assigned times.
  • Clean filters in dish machine, set up dish room for next meal.
  • Break down and clean the dish machine, clean filters, drain machine, wipe down all counters and tables in dish room.
  • Remove all trash and debris from the dining, kitchen, and service areas.
  • Breakdown all boxes to fit in dumpsters.
  • Complete daily and weekly cleaning task as assigned.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by managers.
  • Inform the supervisor or manager at the end of your shift so they can check your work area before lunch and before you clock out at the end of your shift.
