About The Position

This position is for a Dishwasher / Meal Delivery role at John Knox Village, which features 7 individual dining outlets across 400 acres. These outlets include cafeterias, quick-service, and full-service restaurants, with many kitchens being 70-99% scratch-made. The primary purpose of this job is to assist with cleanup in the kitchen and restaurant, ensuring the work area is maintained in a clean, sanitary, safe, and attractive manner according to established procedures and supervisor's directions. The role requires following instructions, properly carrying out assignments, and supporting the Village’s mission, values, and service/hospitality (PRIDE) expectations. The incumbent is also required to complete training hours as per policy.

Requirements

• Candidate must be at least 16 years of age.
• This position requires the level of education typically acquired by a course of study leading to a high school diploma or GED.
• Must obtain current Jackson County Food Handler Permit within 15 days of start date.
• CLASS E DRIVER'S LICENSE REQUIRED.
• Ability to work with a large group of residents/customers.
• Awareness of cost control responsibilities of the position within the Department.
• Ability to work irregular hours.
• Ability to speak in simple sentences.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
• Ability to perform tasting and/or smelling.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but straight-forward written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, clears and cleans the assigned dining areas.
• Loads and unloads dishwasher; cleans pots and pans.
• Provides quality customer service, meeting the needs and requests of resident/customer.
• Ability to handle stress and gets along with others within the workplace and with customers outside the department.
• Ability to maintain acceptable standards of workplace conduct.
• Adheres to all safety regulations and requirements.
• Performs all assigned responsibilities.
