This position will provide proper record maintenance and appropriate quality care of clients. Will also ensure transition/discharge plan for clients are appropriate and follows rules established by AHCA, SAMH, CARF, Private Insurance and PPBH policy and procedures.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s in Psychology or Mental Health Related field.
  • Two (2) years' experience in the mental health field.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Use of personal computers and standard office productivity software.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • A valid Class E Drivers’ License for positions that require driving personal or Agency vehicle on Agency business.
  • Must maintain a minimum Bodily Injury & Property Liability insurance limit of at least $50,000 for positions that require driving personal own vehicle (POV) on Agency business. (Proof Required)
  • All employees must be available as needed when required (PPBH is a 24/7 Agency).

Responsibilities

  • Interviewing clients in various settings to obtain information concerning family, emotional, medical, and substance abuse history or other pertinent information.
  • Detail oriented in completing the psychosocial assessments.
  • Discusses the goals and implementation of treatment plans, progress toward goals and develop an appropriate transition plan upon admission.
  • Provide family sessions per protocol.
  • Provide scheduled group therapy and when needed, individual therapy.
  • Responsible for proper placement and appointments required prior to discharge.
  • Formulates appropriate diagnosis, in terms of the current edition of the DSM and ICD, based on pertinent available information.
  • Consults with medical doctors and/or treatment team members concerning treatment goals and objectives.
  • Completes all required paperwork and maintenance of client files according to all applicable regulatory standards.
  • Performs duties as a court liaison.
  • Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.
