About The Position

Staffs at North Tower Pharmacy preparing and delivering prescriptions to patients bedside prior to discharge. Schedule: Minimum of one 8 hour shift required every 2 weeks, every 6th weekend rotation requirement Pay Range $21.85 - $32.80 Position Highlights : PRN: Days & evening shifts, weekdays, weekends (Q10) Winston Campus How You’ll Impact Patient Care: Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Helps pharmacists prepare and process medication orders to make sure patients and departments get the right medications on time and are charged correctly. Works well with others and organizes daily tasks for maximum efficiency. Helps keep medicine stock in good condition so that quality drugs and supplies are always available. Offers pharmacy services in patient care areas. Takes part in team efforts to improve quality and supports the Pharmacy Department's commitment to Total Quality principles. Keeps knowledge and skills up to date and helps educate others. Sets personal goals to support quality improvement and departmental objectives. Follows hospital standards to create a positive work environment through good communication, relationships, and teamwork. Provides care tailored to different age groups as per Age Specific Care Guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration required within 30 days of employment.
  • PTCB/NHA technician certification (CPhT) within 180 days of employment or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited Pharmacy School.

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of a Pharmacy Technology course preferred.
  • One-year previous pharmacy experience preferred.
  • PTCB technician certification (CPhT) preferred.
