About The Position

We are seeking a SRS Disbursement AP Specialist to join our growing Finance team. This hybrid role will be responsible for executing disbursement operations including processing fund distributions, resolving payment-related issues, and coordinating with key internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, thrives in a high-volume transactional environment, and is passionate about delivering timely, accurate financial operations support.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; coursework or certification in Accounting or Business Administration is a plus.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–4 years of relevant work experience in Accounts Payable, fund operations, or financial services.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial documentation.
  • Proven ability to work with large datasets and maintain high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word; ability to navigate the Internet and internal systems.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with disbursement systems, trust or estate-related payments, or large-scale AP platforms preferred.
  • Experience with financial platforms such as Paymode-X and Lucrotec is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and discretion when handling sensitive transactions.

Responsibilities

  • SRS / Heritage Disbursement Processing
  • Pull and review all payment run reports, collaborate with managers to ensure accurate balancing and obtain management approval for timely payments
  • Validate disbursement applications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure timely receipt and review of all documentation required to complete payment runs.
  • Execute disbursements in core systems and monitor transactions through to completion.
  • Process daily clearings of all financial transactions, verifying, classifying, and recording AP payments through the company’s ERP system
  • Initiate and process domestic and international wire transfers
  • Customer Communication & Support
  • Liaise with clients, Lucrotec, and Paymode to resolve documentation gaps or obtain clarifications.
  • Respond to inquiries related to voids, stop payments, payment batches, confirmations, exchange issues, and Paymode rejections.
  • Provide high-quality, professional communication always.
  • Compliance & Internal Coordination
  • Ensure all disbursement activity adheres to internal controls, regulatory standards, and audit requirements.
  • Remain current on SRS policies, payment platform updates, and disbursement procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Operations and Inventory on complex or disputed transactions.
  • Prepare reconciliations, reports, and documentation for audits and internal reviews.
  • Maintain strong communication with team members and management across all related AP departments, providing training for new clerks and specialists on AP disbursements procedures to ensure an efficient and accurate payment process
  • Process Improvement & Automation
  • Identify and recommend workflow or system improvements to streamline disbursement processes.
  • Support digital transformation and automation efforts related to financial transactions.
