Under the direction of the Program Manager I, the Disaster Assistance Programs Specialist II (DAPS II) is responsible for working with significant independence to assist eligible applicants with moderate-to-highly complex projects in applying for federal and state disaster assistance funding. Works within various programs including grants management, public assistance, research analysis and documentation, and administration. Serves as the Area Coordinator, coordinating program activities for all open state and federal disasters and emergency declarations for a specific geographic area. Serves as a lead person over DAPS I staff in a designated unit of the Recovery Branch and as the consistent and primary contact with the program applicants in a designated geographic area of the state. This position is located in the Closeout Unit II in Mather, CA. You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement.

Requirements

  • You will find the Minimum Requirements in the Class Specification.
  • Participation in the DMV Pull Program is required. The position(s) require(s) a valid Driver's License (DL). You must answer the questions addressing your DL on your application. Ensure you provide your DL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.
  • This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code and is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment. Failure to comply with the Conflict of Interest Code requirements may void the appointment.
