About The Position

Lifesteps is a large, non-profit organization headquartered in Butler, PA, approximately 20 miles north of Pittsburgh. The agency provides "Generations of Care" through programs and services to help those with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities live to their fullest potential. The Vice President, Residential Services is responsible for planning, compliance, building capacity, and delivery of high-quality service within the community homes or residential services programs, which include Supported Living and Lifesharing. The Vice President, Residential Services provides overall strategic leadership, program direction and alignment with organizational standards and goals. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic individual who wants to be part of a team that truly impacts and improves the lives of people in the Western PA community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited College or University AND a minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a Human Services or Healthcare setting serving persons with disabilities, the elderly, or children and youth
  • Five (5) years of proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and operations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Current valid driver’s license and the ability to travel for business utilizing personal vehicle
  • Lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds without assistance, and 100+ pounds with assistance

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Special Education, Public Health Administration, Social Work, Healthcare Administration or Psychology.
  • Prior experience leading clinical teams supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism who have a mental health diagnosis and/or complex medical needs

Responsibilities

  • Plans, coordinates, and manages the daily operations of human services programs, such as community homes, supported living, and lifesharing.
  • Supervises program staff, including hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and addressing personnel issues.
  • Oversee ODP (Office of Developmental Programs) regulatory requirements and performance measures.
  • Manages program budgets, funding, and financial sustainability of services.
  • Ensure ODP Performance Based Contracting standards and credentialing are not only met, but exceeded, by evaluating program effectiveness and analyzing data for improvements.
  • Acts as a liaison between external agencies (such as Supports Coordination, County Administrative Entities, health partners, etc.) to ensure continuous program improvement
