About The Position

The US Prostate Cancer Business is one of the largest businesses within Pfizer Oncology, anchored by XTANDI, a multibillion‑dollar asset with a long-standing leadership position in prostate cancer. As XTANDI continues to compete in an increasingly crowded and promotionally sensitive landscape, this role is critical to sustaining leadership through strategic focus, disciplined execution, and clear differentiation. The XTANDI HCP Lead owns the strategic & executional oversight of all US HCP-focused activities, serving as the primary counterpart to our Alliance Partner (Astellas) HCP team. This role works closely with Sales, Medical, Analytics, and other cross-functional partners to drive growth in CSPC, sharpen competitive differentiation, and prepare the brand for long-‑term sustainability, including loss‑of‑exclusivity (LOE) planning and MFP effectuation.

Requirements

  • US pharmaceutical experience
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing complex marketing programs

  • Solid business acumen and organizational skills with excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills for diverse audiences, including senior management.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to synthesize complex information and distill critical customer insights.
  • Ability to translate strategy and analysis to a tactical, executable level to drive brand performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver results on multiple, complex, competing projects in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Experience forecasting and leading the development of annual strategic plans.
  • High-energy, proactive self-starter with the initiative to function autonomously and the confidence and ingenuity to initiate, create, and innovate.

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience required, or Master's degree and 7+ years of experience, or Ph.D./PharmD and 5+ years of experience required.

Responsibilities

  • HCP Strategy & Execution Own and lead the US HCP strategy for XTANDI, with a clear focus on driving growth in CSPC and defending leadership across key segments.
  • Identify, develop, and execute HCP strategies and tactics that maximize brand performance in a highly competitive, promotionally constrained environment.
  • Serve as the primary US HCP counterpart to Alliance Partner leads, ensuring strong alignment and disciplined execution across teams.
  • Competitive Differentiation & Messaging Act as Promotional Lead, driving messaging and differentiation versus current and emerging competitors.
  • Lead development and deployment of promotional materials grounded in customer insights, compliance standards, and evolving market dynamics.
  • Partner closely with Medical, Sales, and Analytics to ensure promotion is impactful, compliant, and optimized for a sensitive promotional landscape.
  • Performance Analytics & Optimization Work with analytics colleagues to monitor performance trends, assess competitive dynamics, and identify opportunities to strengthen differentiation.
  • Develop and track key metrics to evaluate initiative effectiveness and inform strategic adjustments.
  • Lifecycle & LOE Planning Partner cross functionally to align HCP strategy with broader lifecycle and portfolio considerations to support long-term value.
  • Lead HCP engagement LOE preparedness for XTANDI, including scenario planning, strategic trade‑off discussions, and mitigation strategies.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement Develop and deliver presentations for senior leadership on brand priorities, risks, opportunities, and competitive threats.
  • Serve as a key contributor to Strategic & Tactical Plans, Operating Plans, and POA presentations.
  • Agency & Budget Management Own the HCP AOR agency relationship, including budget oversight, SOW management, and Alliance review processes
