About The Position

As the Director – US Dairy Marketing & Sustainability Operations , you will lead Elanco’s integrated dairy marketing strategies and sustainability initiatives across the US. This thought leader is responsible for the development, execution, and optimization of go-to-market and sustainability programs, leveraging deep expertise in dairy industry operations, marketing, and sustainable food production. The role drives market share, value creation, and stakeholder trust while aligning with Elanco’s vision for animal health, respons ible food systems, and One Health principles. The Director will drive solutions impacting the company and solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science , Agriculture, Marketing, Sustainability, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in dairy marketing, animal health, operations or sustainability, demonstrating specialized depth and/or breadth within the discipline
  • Top skills include cross-functional program leadership and stakeholder partnership in the US dairy ecosystem and d ata-driven marketing and industry expertise (digital, CRM, analytics) with deep knowledge of US dairy regulations, structure, and sustainability challenges

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
  • Commercialization/product launch experience in animal health or agricultural sectors.
  • Experience managing regulatory risks related to environmental/social impacts.
  • Familiarity with digital technologies (IoT, IoE, predictive analytics) affecting the dairy sector.

Responsibilities

  • Lead US dairy marketing strategy and go-to-market execution, including customer segmentation and digital/social innovation, aligned to Elanco priorities.
  • Design and govern sustainability operations (GHG reduction, resource efficiency, circularity) with strong regulatory compliance and policy influence.
  • Build and align high-performing cross-functional teams (commercial, technical) and internal partners (R&D, Government Affairs, global sustainability) to drive results.
  • Engage the dairy value chain (producers, veterinarians, processors, cooperatives) through education, launches, and advocacy; cultivate external partnerships (industry orgs, NGOs, academia, government).
  • Make data-driven decisions using CRM/IoT and market insights; set KPIs, monitor trends, report to leadership, and drive continuous improvement.
