About The Position

The Director, Unit Financial Administration is responsible for delegated oversight, administration and management of fiscal, clinical, academic and research functions which includes comprehensive financial activity, budget planning, reporting, comparison and analysis, forecasting, grants, contracts, human resources, clinical practice, facilities, regulatory compliance to support and sustain the department while working to identify opportunities to increase support and services to meet strategic initiatives. This position serves as the point of contact and indirect oversight to division support staff for budget and financial functions, as well as assisting in development and implementation of the financial and budget plans. This Director reports to the Executive Director, providing direct support and coverage in their absence as well as consistent collaboration during normal day-to-day operations and management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field and eight (8) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize and manage time wisely.
  • Attention to detail - organizes and maintains a system of records, ensures accuracy in documentation, follows procedures and policies.
  • Work as a team player.
  • Flexible - Able to multitask if another project is more pressing.

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, word.
  • Workday software knowledge or experience.
  • Experience in Accounting or Finance Management, in a University or Higher Education Institution.
  • People Leader or Management experience.
