About The Position

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Director, Treasury Management Product Enablement to join our team! This position will lead the creation and execution of the treasury management product go-to-market strategy. This role builds a repeatable, scalable product enablement framework tailored to each product’s unique objectives, target segments, and complexity, ensuring clarity, consistency, and commercial impact across the portfolio. As both strategist and execution leader, this leader converts product strategies into disciplined launches and meaningful market impact, driving client adoption, revenue growth, and competitive differentiation through a structured and accountable product go‑to‑market approach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Communications, or product enablement roles.
  • Experience in Treasury Management or Commercial Payments.
  • Travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the treasury management product go-to-market strategy and lifecycle enablement strategy.
  • Design and maintain a product go-to-market playbook that establishes standards, expectations, and best practices while allowing product-specific flexibility.
  • Define product-level go-to-market approaches, including launch sequencing, internal readiness requirements, target segments, and success measures.
  • Ensure alignment between product strategy and enablement execution without diluting ownership or focus.
  • Leverage research and advisory partners, industry forums, and peer networks to bring forward treasury management/commercial payments insights aligned to market expectations.
  • Synthesize research, benchmarks, analyst briefings, and industry trends into executive summaries, competitive positioning, and actionable recommendations.
  • Evaluate capabilities versus competitors and best practices; shape messaging, materials, and initiatives to strengthen differentiation.
  • Lead end‑to‑end execution of go‑to‑market and product enablement plans for new and enhanced treasury management products.
  • Drive launch readiness across sales, relationship managers, operations, and client support in partnership with the Sales Enablement team.
  • Coordinate timelines, deliverables, interdependencies, and cutover plans to ensure disciplined, repeatable, and operationally sound launches.
  • Maintain accountability for both launch quality and post‑launch performance, including adoption, client experience, and issue escalation.
  • Own product positioning and value propositions in partnership with product management.
  • Translate capabilities into concise, compelling, and actionable messaging for client-facing teams and clients.
  • Create and govern product materials including product overviews, value narratives, use cases, client‑facing presentations, competitive summaries, FAQs, and objection‑handling guidance.
  • Ensure materials are practical, field-tested, and aligned with how products are sold, implemented, and supported.
  • Establish and report success metrics for product launches, including adoption, utilization, and revenue contribution indicators.
  • Partner with sales teams to support pipeline acceleration through prospect targeting, campaigns, talk tracks, win stories, and objection handling.
  • Monitor adoption and performance, diagnose barriers, and adjust messaging, materials, and enablement rapidly when needed.
  • Gather structured feedback from sales, operations, client support, and clients to drive continuous improvements to the enablement framework.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the product management team, reinforcing product vision with execution rigor.
  • Partner with marketing to influence, plan, and execute treasury‑management‑specific marketing strategies, aligned with target segments and adoption goals.
  • Align operations and client support teams around clear priorities and accountability for outcomes.
