About The Position

As the Director, Trade Shows, you will be responsible for setting and leading Fiserv’s enterprise trade show strategy, ensuring every event investment strengthens our brand, advances priority business objectives, and delivers measurable pipeline and client engagement outcomes. This leader oversees the end-to-end trade show portfolio, from strategic selection and sponsorship architecture through onsite execution and post-show performance optimization. You will bring strong business acumen, executive presence, and operational excellence, translating stakeholder needs into high-impact booth experiences, thought leadership programming, and integrated demand generation motions that position Fiserv as a market leader. This role reports to the Vice President, Experiential Client Programming, Global Events.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in trade show strategy, sponsorships, and large-scale event leadership within complex stakeholder environments.
  • Experience leading multi-event portfolios with measurable outcomes in pipeline influence, client engagement, brand visibility, or similar business performance metrics.
  • Experience in program management for enterprise events with responsibility for multiple workstreams, timelines, budgets, and vendor coordination.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, purchase orders, vendor negotiations, and procurement processes in support of event or marketing investments.
  • Experience with event agencies, exhibit design and production partners, show services providers, registration platforms, and lead retrieval tools.
  • Equivalent combination of educational background, related work and/or military experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field
  • Experience in financial services, financial technology, payments, or enterprise technology.
  • Familiarity with demand generation strategy, customer relationship management systems, and marketing automation integrations.
  • Professional certification such as Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent.
  • Experience building standardized playbooks, event measurement models, and governance frameworks for enterprise event programs.

Responsibilities

  • Define trade show portfolio strategy aligned to Fiserv business priorities by recommending event selection, tiering, investment levels, and annual roadmaps.
  • Lead sponsorship and exhibitor strategy by setting value‑based sponsorship approaches, negotiating benefits, and establishing experiential standards to maximize brand impact and ROI.
  • Own booth and activation strategy by partnering cross‑functionally to design scalable, technology‑enabled engagement models that drive demos, meetings, and executive visibility.
  • Direct end‑to-end event governance through repeatable playbooks, timelines, risk management, and operating cadence to ensure consistent execution.
  • Serve as senior cross‑functional lead aligning Sales, Business Units, Demand Gen, Communications, Product Marketing, and Data Governance on objectives, messaging, VIP engagement, and lead flow.
  • Oversee agency, vendor, and operations management, including exhibit partners, show contractors, travel programs, hotel sub‑blocks, and onsite service models.
  • Own budget stewardship and performance measurement by managing forecasts, POs, spend controls, KPIs, lead compliance, and post‑show reporting with Insights and Demand Gen.
  • Lead and develop the trade show team, set standards, provide coaching, and build scalable capabilities for a future‑ready organization.
