About The Position

The Director of Infrastructure and Security Policy Automation is a dynamic leader responsible for driving both the strategic vision and day-to-day execution of infrastructure automation initiatives. This role leads a high-performing team focused on developing, maintaining, and scaling Terraform modules and policy automation frameworks, while also serving as a hands-on technical leader focused on accelerating automation and innovation. The Director will foster a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement, ensuring the team is empowered to deliver robust, secure, and scalable automation solutions. This leader will work closely with stakeholders across devsecops platform, enterprise architecture, security, network, and application development teams to align priorities, drive adoption of best practices, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, software engineering or related field or equivalent experience/certification
  • Proven track record of leading and managing technical teams in infrastructure automation and cloud engineering.
  • 8+ years in cloud platform/infrastructure engineering, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, mentor, and develop talent, fostering a high-performance and inclusive team culture.
  • Hands-on expertise with Terraform, policy-as-code (OPA, Sentinel, etc.), and DevSecOps best practices
  • Experience integrating and applying emerging AI tools and technologies to infrastructure automation and cloud operations.
  • Strong background in public and private cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), cloud security, and compliance automation
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on technical solutioning, actively contributing to architecture, design, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with business requirements gathering, technology roadmaps, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, and manage the Terraform modules and policy automation team, setting clear goals, providing coaching, and supporting career development.
  • Serve as technical product owner, defining product vision, roadmap, and priorities for automation solutions.
  • Actively participate in technical solutioning, architecture, and troubleshooting, especially with emerging AI-powered automation tools.
  • Drive adoption of infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code across the organization, championing best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into broader cloud and infrastructure strategies.
  • Ensure alignment with security, compliance, and governance requirements.
  • Oversee lifecycle management of automation products, including versioning, documentation, and support.
  • Evaluate new technologies and industry trends, with a focus on AI-driven automation, to enhance team capabilities and business outcomes.
  • Communicate goals, progress, and achievements to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Promote adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Build and nurture a high-performing team, fostering innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
  • Champion the vision for automated infrastructure and policy management, driving organizational change and adoption.
  • Provide regular feedback, conduct performance reviews, and support professional growth.
  • Model hands-on leadership, actively engaging in technical challenges and solution development.
  • Ensure the team remains at the forefront of automation and AI technology trends.
