We are seeking a strategic and execution-driven Director of Talent Acquisition to lead and build Niron's recruiting function from the ground up. This leader will not only fill today's hiring needs but will also design the systems, partnerships, and practices that will scale Niron from 120 employees to 500+ and beyond. This role is pivitol in shaping our talent acquisition strategy, actively sourcing and recruiting top-tier talent, including highly specialized technical roles, and designing scalable systems to support the hiring of over 150 hourly operations workers for our new greenfield manufacturing facility.

Requirements

  • Bring 8+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, including leading teams and scaling hiring strategies.
  • Have a track record of success in both strategic recruiting and hands-on sourcing-especially in high-growth or startup settings.
  • Know how to find and engage specialized technical talent and manage high-volume hourly hiring with creativity and precision.
  • Are fluent in modern recruiting tools and tech-from AI-driven sourcing to ATS platforms and analytics.
  • Communicate with clarity, build trust with stakeholders, and make things happen with strong organizational skills.
  • Approach challenges with grit, resourcefulness, and a builder's mindset-you don't wait for perfect conditions, you create them.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with Niron's growth trajectory and business goals.
  • Partner with executive leadership to forecast hiring needs across technical, corporate, and operations functions.
  • Build and evolve recruiting infrastructure, processes, and tools to support rapid scaling.
  • Co-create and promote Niron's Employer Brand and Employee Value Proposition (EVP) in alignment with our mission and culture.
  • Actively source, engage, and recruit candidates for specialized roles, including engineering, R&D, and operations leadership.
  • Design and execute innovative sourcing strategies, such as hiring events, digital campaigns, and industry partnerships to build diverse talent pipelines for current and future needs.
  • Design and execute high-volume recruiting strategies for hourly operations roles at our new manufacturing facility.
  • Leverage creative sourcing techniques to identify "unicorn" candidates for niche roles.
  • Build and manage relationships with external recruiting partners, educational institutions, and workforce development organizations.
  • Design and oversee the company's internship program, including recruitment, onboarding, program activities, and performance evaluation.
  • Champion a best in class experience for all candidates from initial contact through onboarding to attract and retain top talent in a competitive market.
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation of recruitment processes using data and technology to increase hiring speed, quality, and effectiveness.
  • Streamline and simplify the interview and hiring process to ensure speed and quality.
  • Implement recruiting metrics and dashboards to track performance and continuously improve outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and best practices.
  • Partner with People Operations to align talent acquisition with workforce planning, compensation strategy, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with Talent Development to integrate career pathways, internships, and leadership development into recruiting strategies, ensuring candidates see long-term growth at Niron.
  • Coach and support hiring managers and leaders in thoughtful, inclusive interviewing practices that reflect Niron's culture and values.
  • Collaborate with Marketing/Communications to enhance digital presence and candidate storytelling.
