About The Position

Fidelity Investments is seeking an exceptional technology leader to join our Enterprise Infrastructure & Operations (EI&O) business unit as the Director of Systems Services and Support within the Electronic Data Transmissions (EDT) team. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on transforming how client and participant data flows into and out of Fidelity’s systems. The Role As Director of Systems Services and Support, you will lead a team of talented engineers and technologists in evolving Fidelity’s legacy file transfer platform into a modern, resilient, and scalable solution. You will be instrumental in shaping the architectural direction, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. This role requires a people-first leader with a strong technical foundation, capable of navigating complex systems while building trusted relationships across internal and external stakeholders. You will have daily opportunities to influence business outcomes and make a meaningful impact on Fidelity’s data ecosystem.

Requirements

• Proven experience in leading large-scale systems engineering or infrastructure modernization initiatives.
• Strong technical background with hands on experience in data transmission technologies, file transfer protocols, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Release management and on-call production support experience.
• Automation, batch, and data support experience using JCL, TSO, SQL, ISPF, Control-M, and Python
• Demonstrated success in driving operational transformation and process automation.
• Familiarity with IBM mainframe, distributed application architecture, and CSP services
• Strategic thinker with a bias for action and a passion for delivering business impact through technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transformation of Fidelity’s legacy file transfer environment into a modern, cloud-ready platform.
• Drive the development of self-service capabilities and automation to improve scalability and reduce operational friction.
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and business partners to define and execute strategic technology roadmaps.
• Ensure operational excellence through proactive monitoring, incident management, and continuous improvement.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand needs, resolve issues, and deliver value.
