About The Position

The Director, Strategy & Operations Lead is a critical leadership role within the Pfizer Brand & Agency Partnerships (PBAP) team, responsible for driving the strategic and operational agenda that powers one of the most visible and creative organizations in the enterprise. This role sits at the intersection of brand, creativity, and operational excellence — ensuring that the team responsible for Pfizer's brand advertising, creative standards, web platforms, marketing technology, and content strategy runs with clarity, speed, and impact. Reporting directly to the Head of PBAP and serving as a trusted member of the PBAP leadership team, this leader will anticipate and act on key opportunities, drive cross-functional alignment, and transform strategy into execution. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree ; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 8+ years of relevant experience (or 7+ years with an MBA/MS), preferably spanning marketing, brand, creative operations, or strategy roles
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, build trust across levels, and drive alignment in a matrixed organization
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex data and ambiguous challenges into clear, actionable strategies
  • Exceptional communication skills — written, verbal, and visual — with experience presenting to and engaging senior leadership
  • Proven track record of managing multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously with rigor, agility, and attention to quality
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve and decisiveness matters

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner and advisor to the Head of PBAP and leadership team, providing analysis, recommendations, and thought leadership to drive key decisions across brand advertising, creative standards, web platforms, creative marketing stack, and content strategy.
  • Lead the development and execution of the PBAP operating plan, including semester goal setting , prioritization frameworks, and tracking of strategic initiatives.
  • Drive end-to-end governance planning and execution — connecting the dots between short-term deliverables and long-term organizational ambition.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of PBAP's capabilities, pipeline , and priorities, and actively leverage this knowledge to anticipate needs and accelerate progress.
  • Lead and oversee critical cross-functional projects and initiatives, defining scope, timelines, resource needs, and success metrics to drive high-quality outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts across BAP, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and strengthen team effectiveness.
  • Manage and track follow-up on key decisions and action items across leadership meetings and cross-functional forums to ensure accountability and momentum.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality preparation of strategic materials including briefing documents, presentations, quarterly business reviews, and leadership communications.
  • Act as a key liaison between the PBAP leadership team and internal stakeholders — including agency partners, technology teams, commercial, and cross-CMO functions — ensuring alignment on goals, priorities, and ways of working.
  • Partner with colleagues across the organization to identify and implement best practices, harmonize processes, and build bridges between PBAP and the broader enterprise.
  • Lead planning and communication governance for cross-functional meetings, including leadership team sessions and broader team forums.
  • Champion a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and creative excellence — modeling the behaviors that make PBAP a place where great work thrives.
  • Foster innovation by driving digital adaptation and AI-fluency across PBAP operations, identifying opportunities to embed new tools and approaches that amplify team performance.
  • Partner with leadership to activate the PBAP community through an intentional communications and engagement calendar, including team huddles, recognition moments, and survey action planning.
