About The Position

Serves as a trusted strategic partner, providing counsel on critical business decisions, organizational priorities, policy development, and long-term growth strategies. This role will engage closely with external and internal stakeholders to integrate processes and people for key business initiatives. This posting will remain active for five days.

  • Ability to lead and influence at the enterprise level, including the planning, execution, and management of complex organizational change
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate various stakeholder input processes and achieve consensus
  • Ability to effectively balance day-to-day operations with long-term planning and prioritize competing demands
  • Strong command of business operations, project management, strategic planning, and financial principles, including budgeting and fiscal stewardship
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field
  • Current valid driver's license and ability to remain insurable under the vehicle liability policy
  • Substantial executive experience in the electric utility industry or municipal operations, including accountability for complex, organization-wide programs, experience acting as an owner’s representative on major initiatives, and service on, or regular interaction with, a utility board, commission, or equivalent governing body
  • Ten years of progressive leadership including executive-level experience

Responsibilities

  • Models the mission, vision, values, and culture of the organization
  • Leads strategic planning initiatives including developing and implementing refreshed strategic plan and oversees organizational progress towards completion of published strategic initiatives
  • Participate in resource prioritization, policy development, and decision-making
  • Research and recommend new initiatives, programs, policies and strategies in alignment with overarching corporate direction
  • Act as the integration liaison between Platte River and the owner communities to ensure consistent communication, involvement and decision-making for key initiatives
  • Actively collaborates with the senior and director leadership teams, and owner communities on issues that affect strategic direction
  • Leads and participates in key organizational initiatives
  • Leverages relationships and directly participates in various associations and organizations such as the American Public Power Association and Large Public Power Council
  • Performs other duties as assigned
