About The Position

The Director, Strategic Projects leads enterprise level, cross‑functional initiatives that drive business growth, operational excellence, and long‑term strategic priorities. This role translates executive strategy into structured execution, partnering with senior leaders across the organization to deliver complex initiatives that improve performance, scale operations, and create enterprise value. This position serves as an enterprise execution leader and strategic business partner, with responsibility for project governance, stakeholder alignment, data driven decision support, and delivery of initiatives spanning strategic planning, process improvement, data analytics, real estate and mergers & acquisitions integration. The Director operates with significant autonomy while executing within executive‑approved strategic direction. This role requires turning complex data and insights into clear, concise recommendations. The Director must demonstrate a proven ability to distill complexity, prioritize what matters most, and communicate strategic insights to all levels of the organization in a simple/easy to understand, compelling manner.

Requirements

  • MBA or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Food Manufacturing or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives at an enterprise level.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, operational improvement, and enterprise execution.
  • Significant exposure to process improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Strong background in data analytics and performance‑driven decision support.
  • Experience supporting mergers & acquisitions, including due diligence and post‑integration execution.
  • Track record of partnering with senior and executive leadership on high‑impact initiatives.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to evaluate complex business issues across functions.
  • Experience leading enterprise initiatives involving ambiguity, change management, and cross‑functional coordination.
  • Working knowledge of real estate strategy, capital planning, and portfolio management.
  • Advanced negotiation, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic priorities with focused execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-impact cross functional strategic initiatives as assigned by the CEO or executive leadership.
  • Drive cross‑functional initiatives that support business growth, efficiency, integration, and modernization.
  • Establish success metrics, timelines, and accountability for strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with functional leaders to manage dependencies, risks, and execution challenges.
  • Prepare clear concise executive‑level updates, insights, and recommendations grounded in data and analysis.
  • Partner with the CEO and executive team to evaluate strategic opportunities, operational challenges, and enterprise priorities.
  • Support enterprise strategic planning efforts through market assessment, internal capability analysis, and scenario modeling.
  • Partner with leadership on prioritization of initiatives that balance near‑term execution with long‑term value creation.
  • Contribute to multi‑year roadmaps, capital planning inputs, and enterprise performance reviews.
  • Develop and execute a real estate strategy that supports business operations, growth, and long‑term financial objectives.
  • Lead and oversee real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leases, and development projects.
  • Oversee development and construction projects to ensure alignment with approved scope, budget, timelines, and operational requirements.
  • Manage external real estate partners, including brokers, developers, consultants, and contractors.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across operations, supply chain, and support functions.
  • Identify inefficiencies, capability gaps, and scalability risks; recommend and implement solutions.
  • Apply continuous improvement methodologies to drive measurable improvements.
  • Standardize processes and operating models to support consistency, efficiency, and growth across multiple sites.
  • Leverage data analytics to inform strategic decision‑making and project prioritization.
  • Partner with Finance, IT, Sales and functional leaders to develop dashboards, KPIs, and performance insights.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights for executive audiences.
  • Ensure initiatives are measured against clear success metrics and value realization targets.
  • Support due diligence, integration planning, and execution for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional workstreams to ensure integration milestones are delivered effectively.
  • Identify operational risks, synergies, and improvement opportunities related to M&A activity.
  • Track post‑integration performance and support realization of strategic objectives.
  • Lead with integrity, humility, and transparency, demonstrating respect for the diverse perspectives of a dynamic workforce.
  • Inspire trust through consistent actions, thoughtful communication, and sound judgment.
