About The Position

The Senior Corporate Counsel, Commercial Contracting, will serve as a lead attorney drafting and negotiating a broad range of complex supplier contracts with a technology component. The Senior Corporate Counsel will provide advice, guidance and strategic counsel to senior management and a wide variety of clients, including DaVita’s IT department.

Requirements

  • J.D. degree and a minimum of 6 years of relevant legal experience
  • A law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and State Bar Admission in good standing

Nice To Haves

  • Experience drafting, interpreting and negotiating technology-related contracts preferred
  • Knowledge of legal issues related to AI technology preferred
  • In-house experience in healthcare or a regulated industry preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic legal support and counsel for a variety of business clients in all matters related to supplier contracting, with a primary focus on supporting DaVita’s IT department and technology transactions
  • Draft and negotiate technology-related contracts, including SaaS, cloud computing, and software licensing
  • Lead supplier contracting negotiations by partnering with internal stakeholders and business clients to drive contracts to completion
  • Develop and effectively articulate creative solutions to drive risk mitigation and operationalize business objectives
  • Assist in process improvement and establishment of best demonstrated practices for all aspects of commercial contracting
  • Participate in various other projects and workstreams, as assigned
