About The Position

Mobius is looking for a Director for Space Capture Management. The Director of Space Capture Management is a senior leader responsible for driving strategic growth, partnership, and new business opportunities within the Space sector. This individual will lead efforts to expand the organization’s presence across government, defense, and commercial markets, shaping capture strategies, managing key customer relationships, and overseeing pursuits aligned with corporate goals. The ideal candidate brings deep domain knowledge in space systems, satellite operations, ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance), and emerging technologies – along with a proven track record in business development, capture management, and strategic execution for Government agencies in the space sector, such as US Space Force, Space Development Agency, etc.

Requirements

  • 10 + years of progressive experience in business development, strategy, or program leadership within the space community.
  • Demonstrated success in capturing and winning multi-million-dollar contracts in the federal or defense sector.
  • Established network within US government space agencies.
  • Strong understanding of acquisition processes, FAR/DFAR, and government contracting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Political Science or related fields.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth & Market Development Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy targeting US space markets.
  • Identify, qualify, and prioritize space related business opportunities to grow revenue Lead market assessment, competitor analyses, opportunity pipeline to inform strategic investments and partnerships.
  • Capture & Proposal Leadership Oversee the capture process for high-value programs, including customer engagement, teaming strategies, pricing, and proposal leadership.
  • Coordinate cross functional teams to ensure compelling and winning proposal solutions Translate customer needs and mission objectives into actionable business and technical solutions.
  • Customer & Partner Engagement Build and maintain trusted relationships with key government agencies, prime contractors, and industry partners.
  • Represent the organization at industry forums, conferences, and customer meetings.
  • Negotiate strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and teaming agreements to enhance competitive positioning.
  • Leadership & Collaboration Collaborate with technical leaders to align R&D and product roadmaps with customer demand.
  • Contribute to corporate strategy, annual operating plans, and long-term growth initiatives.
