The Director of Solution Designs works with the Facility Solutions team and is responsible for estimating projects, handling proposals, scope of work, and customer requirements within the organization. This position provides strategic oversight, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement in all estimating activities for cleaning and MEP systems, along with subcontractor management. The Director of Solution Designs collaborates with Facility Solutions team to drive business growth and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8 - 10 years of progressively growing experience in estimation, cost analysis, subcontract management.
  • Familiar with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated superior judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple and competing priorities and projects under tight time frames.
  • Must have a driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.
  • Ability to use typical business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Facility Solutions team, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Perform site visitation for takeoff and analysis of project.
  • Responsible for managing budget and P&L.
  • Develop, implement, and refine estimating processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Manage and allocate resources within the organization to optimize performance and meet business needs.
  • Assess and prioritize bidding opportunities in collaboration with executive leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing estimating performance data and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company ethics, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Oversee the review of drawings, specifications, and documents, identifying risks and collaborating with key stakeholders to mitigate potential issues.
  • Foster relationships with clients, architects/engineers, general contractors, and subcontractors to enhance market positioning and business development efforts.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing to evaluate and optimize material proposals.
  • Represent the Facility Solutions team in executive meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Generate and present reports on estimation findings.

  • There is an expectation to travel 30% for this role.
