About The Position

Job Summary: Are you ready to solve varied and complex challenges enabling safe and efficient operations in advanced nuclear technology? As the Director, Site Services , you'll lead a wide range of support organizations —overseeing fire safety, emergency management, environmental, waste handling, radiological protection, industrial hygiene, industrial safety, records management, procedures, training, and human performance. You're the key to supporting operations—you’re ensuring seamless integration of support functions so the plant can safely and efficiently stay in production to fuel the future of nuclear energy. With the power to stop work when safety is on the line and the responsibility to oversee support functions at the facility, this role is about applying leadership and direction to remove barriers to production at the highest level.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physical Science, Business Management, or equivalent technical experience
  • 4+ years of nuclear or industrial experience in a highly regulated environment
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” Clearance
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • This position will require a pre­-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.
  • Candidates for positions requiring a security clearance are required to be tested for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR 707.4 prior to an offer of employment being made.
  • In addition, once employe, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government.
  • Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in management at a nuclear facility or highly regulated industrial environment
  • Experience managing licensed facilities and coordinating with regulatory agencies like the NRC or DOE
  • Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations applicable to fire safety, radiation protection, industrial safety and related areas
  • Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Currently holding an active Q-level security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Lead a variety of support organizations and functions by setting scope, schedules, and budgets and ensuring projects meet regulatory, technical, and safety standards.
  • Oversee key safety programs, including fire safety, emergency management, radiological protection, and industrial safety, and ensure strict compliance to environmental and waste handling programs.
  • Provide leadership in organizations with interfaces across the site, such as records management, procedures, training, and human performance, coordinate with plant leadership and vendors, and manage cross-functional alignment for support organizations.
  • Review plans and guide staff development, you will be essential to ensure safe and compliant performance and operational excellence.
