As a Carpenter, you’ll repair, replace, install, and maintain facility components using the trade skills required of an interior carpenter. You’ll work in and around our St. Louis Headquarters, Purina Farms, and other offsite buildings to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and functionality. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and constructing interior elements such as walls, ceilings, floors, doors, frames, cabinetry, and other finish carpentry components, while supporting overall facility upkeep and improvements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 5+ years of professional carpentry experience, including 1+ year as a Journeyman Carpenter
Nice To Haves
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed is preferred
- Must be able to perform the physical requirements necessary, such as lifting and carrying up to 50+ pounds, to meet the expectations of job assignments
Responsibilities
- Perform rough and trim carpentry tasks with precision and efficiency
- Read and interpret construction drawings to ensure accurate execution of projects
- Safely operate and maintain power tools, including circular saws, table saws, and planer/jointer
- Apply layout techniques for walls, ceilings, floors, and other structural components
- Construct and install structural metal and wood framing, hang drywall, and install suspended ceilings
- Install cabinets and apply plastic laminate finishes
- Build and assemble cabinets, install doors and frames, and complete other finish carpentry work
