About The Position

The Director, Site Sales, reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, is responsible for leading and scaling CRIO's sales efforts to clinical research sites. This role encompasses strategic oversight of the site sales organization, team development, and accountability for achieving ambitious site revenue targets. The Director will directly manage a team of Account Executives and Site Business Development Representatives focused on expanding our client base among independent clinical research sites. Additionally, senior Account Executives selling to large site networks and the Business Development Representative Team Lead will maintain a dotted-line reporting relationship to this position, ensuring alignment across the broader site sales function. This leader will not carry an individual sales quota but will have full accountability for delivering on the overall site sales goal. Success in this role requires balancing strategic leadership with hands-on coaching, driving both team performance and process excellence. The Director will collaborate closely with the broader commercial team as well as the Customer Success and Product teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and optimize the site acquisition funnel. The successful candidate will be a proven sales leader with deep roots in the clinical research site ecosystem. They will bring sophisticated sales operations expertise, particularly in outbound strategies, along with a track record of building and scaling high-performing sales teams. This role demands someone who can lead teams, execute methodically, and drive results in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in sales
  • Recent, hands-on experience selling into clinical research sites
  • 5+ years of experience selling eClinical technology solutions
  • Proven experience managing sales teams and/or inside sales teams
  • Strong sales operations knowledge and experience, particularly in developing and executing outbound sales strategies
  • Extensive network of connections within the clinical research site community
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding challenging sales goals
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities
  • Excellent coaching and talent development capabilities
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally
  • Experience with Salesforce and sales enablement tools
  • Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, or related field
