About The Position

The Director, SIOP Process Excellence owns and governs the enterprise Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) operating model. This role establishes and enforces the standards, policies, decision frameworks, and governance mechanisms that enable effective cross-functional planning and executive decision-making across demand, supply, inventory, and financial alignment. As the enterprise authority on SIOP process integrity and maturity, this leader ensures planning decisions follow defined trade-off principles, risk management standards, and financial guardrails. The Director partners closely with Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance, and Operations leadership to drive disciplined planning execution and continuous SIOP capability advancement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, S&OP/SIOP, or integrated business planning
  • 5+ years leading cross-functional planning governance or enterprise planning processes
  • Demonstrated expertise in Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and executive SIOP facilitation
  • Experience driving enterprise process standardization and maturity transformation
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to translate planning decisions into business impact

Responsibilities

  • Define, maintain, and continuously improve the enterprise SIOP operating model, policies, standards, and decision frameworks
  • Establish clear planning guardrails, escalation pathways, and decision rights across demand, supply, and finance
  • Ensure consistent SIOP process adoption and compliance across business units and regions
  • Maintain SIOP governance documentation, controls, and auditability
  • Lead enterprise SIOP governance forums, including executive SIOP and pre-SIOP cadence
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment on key trade-offs, risks, and scenarios
  • Drive fact-based decision-making using standardized planning data and scenarios
  • Prepare executives with structured insights, recommendations, and decision options
  • Resolve planning conflicts across Commercial, Operations, and Finance functions
  • Ensure decisions balance service, cost, inventory, and revenue objectives
  • Translate business strategy into planning priorities and decision criteria
  • Enable alignment between strategic plans, financial plans, and operational plans
  • Assess and benchmark enterprise SIOP maturity and process effectiveness
  • Define and execute SIOP capability roadmap and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Drive process discipline, standard work, and adoption of best-practice planning methods
  • Partner with digital/analytics teams to embed tools, metrics, and automation into SIOP
  • Define SIOP process KPIs and governance effectiveness metrics
  • Monitor adherence to SIOP standards, decision frameworks, and cadence
  • Ensure transparency, traceability, and documentation of planning decisions
  • Report SIOP health, risks, and maturity progress to senior leadership
