About The Position

HPE Networking is seeking a strategic and high-impact Director to lead its Global Semiconductor Commodity Management team. In this pivotal role, the Director will be responsible for driving sourcing strategies, building industry-leading supplier relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge silicon solutions for networking products. This role is based in Sunnyvale, CA, with an expectation to work from the office 2 days per week, typically Tuesday and Thursday.

Requirements

  • Experience with semiconductor sourcing and supplier management experience in electronics industry.
  • Proven success in negotiating complex contracts and managing supplier relationships.
  • Deep industry knowledge of semiconductor technologies and market dynamics.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to influence at executive levels.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for HPE Networking’s silicon components, including Ethernet, Switching, PHYs, wireless, ASICs, FPGA/CPLDs, processors, and memory.
  • Monitor market trends and emerging technologies to ensure alignment with product roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and supply chain teams to influence sourcing decisions and technology strategies.
  • Lead negotiations and establish comprehensive supplier agreements to secure optimal terms.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, delivery, and innovation.
  • Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of sourcing and supplier management professionals.
