About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and driven Director, Sales for our Trade Pro Channel to lead and grow our two-step distribution network across North America. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize sell-in to distributors and sell-through to dealers. You will oversee relationships with key distribution partners, manage third-party sales agencies, and provide direction to our internal sales team to ensure strong market coverage, sales growth, and brand presence.

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience in a two-step sales environment
  • Experience managing distributor-to-dealer network
  • Experience managing internal sales teams and third-party rep agencies
  • Strong commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build relationships across executive, distributor, dealer, and internal teams
  • Strong strategic thinker with proven execution ability

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in consumer products or building products is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Trade Pro channel strategy for North America, with full revenue accountability.
  • Develop and execute annual sales plans to drive growth across distributor and dealer networks.
  • Analyze market trends, channel performance, and competitive activity to identify new opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with distributor partners, driving product adoption, inventory efficiency, and sales momentum.
  • Conduct business reviews with distribution leadership teams to drive alignment and performance.
  • Ensure distributors have the training, marketing support, product knowledge, and tools needed to succeed.
  • Manage and support internal sales representatives responsible for dealer coverage.
  • Lead and oversee a network of external manufacturer’s reps and third-party sales agencies.
  • Set ongoing KPIs and performance targets for teams; coach, mentor, and develop talent.
  • Strengthen sell-through by assisting distributors in expanding dealer engagement and market presence.
  • Partner with marketing to deliver programs, incentives, and promotional plans to drive dealer conversion and growth.
  • Forecast demand accurately in collaboration with supply chain and planning teams.
  • Manage channel pricing architecture, program execution, and margin integrity.
  • Measure results, report performance, and drive continuous improvement.
