The position is responsible for planning, organizing and controlling the sales function within the assigned area by driving growth in sales and profits while managing expenses. Essential Functions of the job: The essential functions of the job require the person, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform the following: Provide leadership and coordination of company sales functions across market segments within the assigned area. Monitor and analyze sales activity against goals. Manage and direct the execution of sales plans and initiatives. Establish, implement and manage a comprehensive sales structure that can meet or exceed corporate revenue and profit expectations in assigned area. Develop, implement and exceed the annual sales forecast plan as established. Recruitment, hiring, training and leading the sales team within the area. Participate in developing the strategic sales plan for the company with the senior executive management team. Demonstrate leadership and responsibility as it relates to strategic contracts, pricing and profitability decisions within the area. Communicate and coordinate with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met. Manage the expenses as they relate to travel, general administration and entertainment within the territory. Work closely with the marketing and engineering team in developing new products and services for key markets and customers. Negotiate contracts, non-disclosure agreements, safety stock agreements and pricing with key customers. Update the company on changing trends within the area as it relates to customers, competitors and general economic conditions. Demonstrate ethical leadership practices with integrity. Understand the overall capabilities of our factories, both domestic and abroad, and recognize opportunities to expand into different markets or sell different products into existing markets. Establish goals for the sales team and monitor progress in achieving these goals. Develop and maintain relationships at the regional level at key accounts and distribution. Identify, initiate, negotiate and close deals with customers at the senior management level. Recruit, direct, coach and manage the sales team. Exhibit excellent oral, written and presentation skills. Drive, manage and oversee multi-million-dollar programs as needed. Exhibit interpersonal skills to facilitate relationships that leverage sales and profits for the company. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through reliable service, support and responsiveness. Uphold and promote the ebm-papst values: efficiency, sustainability, innovation and integrity. Travel as required. Strong knowledge and experience with CRM tools, SAP and sales reporting systems. Perform all other duties as assigned.
