Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/innovative-medicine In this role, you will be responsible to: Oversee and manage the J&J IM North America Sales Excellence team, part of the Learning Excellence Organization. You will lead a team to drive capabilities and programs and establish and drive end to end strategy and priorities for Sales Excellence. This includes the Selling Skills / Competencies that are critical for success for the sales organization, from newly hired to tenured employees. Shape and lead efforts that drive Sales excellence, competitiveness, distinguished customer engagement, and business impact Work strategically across the organization as a Sales subject matter expert Oversee a team of Learning Business Partners (LBPs) and Program Managers (PMs) within J&J IM North America Learning Excellence Sales Excellence capability Lead and manage strategic direction of LBPs, including sharing and educating on J&J IM North America Learning Excellence L&D strategy, organizational priorities, new growth COE initiatives, and provide recommendation for implementing within their respective stakeholder engagement Advise and support LBPs and PMs in their responsibilities, act as a point of escalation, remove barriers, etc. Lead collaboration to understand cross-TA / business learning needs and market shifts impacting J&J IM North America Learning Excellence Sales Excellence capability strategy and priorities for COE

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Masters in Learning Preferred
  • 10+ years industry experience, with a minimum of 5 years in people management required
  • Sales Subject Matter Expertise required
  • Strong understanding of learning and development required

Nice To Haves

  • Diversity in prior commercial roles (sales, sales leadership, acct mgt, marketing, etc.) is preferred
  • Previous experience leading Learning Organizations preferred
  • Experience leading learning transformations preferred
  • Experience leading in a matrixed environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Define J&J IM-wide curriculum and learning strategy for Sales Excellence
  • Provide strategic guidance and oversight over all Sales Excellence learning curricula design, development, measurement, learning technology and alignment with NA J&J IM priorities
  • Partner with HR and Senior Leadership on strategic initiatives related to talent strategy and training for Field Sales teams that complements capability building for demand teams
  • Partner with C&PE Leadership to find synergies in learning initiatives across stakeholder groups
  • Partner with vendor optimization to determine the strategy for vendor sourcing versus in-house sourcing for content sourcing and delivery
  • Oversee the strategy and implementation, evaluation, and improvement of J&J IM Learning Excellence -wide L&D standards and processes for Sales Excellence
  • Collaborate with Head, J&J IM Learning Excellence Capabilities & Performance Excellence and Director, J&J IM Learning Liaison on strategic business and learning demand planning to inform learning experience and enablement needs for design and development, and any operational support needs (e.g., vendor)
  • Create and implement J&J IM Learning Excellence L&D organizational learning performance impact measurement strategy and standards for Sales Excellence
  • Attracts and develops elite and diverse talent that is committed to individual and collective growth, challenges the status quo, and achieves significant business impact
  • Oversee efforts to enhance development of Sales Excellence organization
  • Determine metrics, analytics and reporting for learning to tie J&J IM Learning Excellence investments to specific business outcomes for Sales Excellence
  • Lead team in effective utilization of budget and process expectations of the learning excellence organization
  • Communicate learning impact and value of how J&J IM NA Learning Excellence drives business results
  • Communicate with stakeholders at multiple levels (e.g., Business leaders, LEO Leaders, etc.)
