About The Position

The Director, Revenue Operations (ROPS) is responsible for operational oversight and strategic planning for revenue cycle teams and related activities. This role builds revenue cycle teams, analyzes their performance, identifies trends, communicates results, and improves process performance impacting the revenue cycle. They determine opportunities for improvement to achieve revenue cycle best practices and ensure compliance with DaVita policies and state and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of related experience required. Experience with strategic planning and increasing levels of senior leadership responsibility in healthcare revenue operations.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of the healthcare revenue cycle (e.g., Patient Intake, Billing, Collections).
  • Ability to motivate others, meet goals, and read/interpret complex documents.

Responsibilities

  • Builds High Performing Teams: Engages in recruitment, training, and retention; coaches and motivates teammates; manages performance and succession planning.
  • Direct Daily Operations: Establishes short and long-term goals based on key metrics; conducts monthly A/R reviews; manages budgets, personnel, and departmental resources; ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform Strategic Thinking: Develops analysis frameworks; drives the strategic process on internal projects; maintains knowledge of healthcare revenue operations trends.
  • Effectively Communicate: Works collaboratively with patient account leaders; communicates insights and recommendations to executive leaders; fosters cooperation across DaVita centers.
