We are seeking a strategic and analytical Director of Revenue Management to lead pricing, inventory strategy, and revenue optimization across the resort. This leader will play a critical role in maximizing profitability during pre-opening and ongoing operations while partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams. Position Summary The Director of Revenue Management is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive revenue strategies to optimize occupancy, rate, and overall resort profitability. This role oversees forecasting, pricing, inventory management, distribution channels, and performance analysis while ensuring alignment with the resort’s business objectives. The Director of Revenue Management serves as a key member of the Executive Committee and works collaboratively with leadership to drive data-informed decision making and sustainable revenue growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive revenue management experience in hospitality.
  • Strong analytical and forecasting skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Experience with RMS, PMS, STR reporting, and distribution platforms.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Resort or full-service hotel experience strongly preferred.
  • Pre-opening experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Revenue Strategy & Optimization Develop and execute revenue management strategies to maximize room revenue, occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.
  • Establish pricing structures, segmentation strategies, and demand forecasts.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor performance, and economic conditions to inform strategy.
  • Optimize channel mix and distribution strategies across all booking platforms.
  • Forecasting & Analysis Produce accurate daily, weekly, monthly, and annual forecasts.
  • Analyze pace, pickup, and booking patterns to adjust strategies proactively.
  • Prepare revenue reports, dashboards, and presentations for executive leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability through data insights.
  • Pre-Opening Leadership Lead revenue strategy development during the resort’s pre-opening phase.
  • Support system setup, rate loading, channel configuration, and inventory controls.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on launch promotions and demand generation strategies.
  • Assist with budget development and pro-forma validation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to align strategies.
  • Participate in weekly revenue meetings and executive leadership discussions.
  • Provide recommendations for promotions, packages, and pricing initiatives.
  • Support group displacement analysis and contract pricing decisions.
  • Systems & Distribution Management Oversee revenue management systems (RMS), PMS integration, and reporting tools.
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory across all distribution channels.
  • Monitor OTA performance and commission costs.
  • Optimize website conversion and direct booking strategies in partnership with Marketing.
  • Leadership & Development Provide guidance and mentorship to reservations or revenue team members.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Train operational leaders on revenue principles and performance metrics.
