About The Position

Develop, implement, manage and oversee a uniform model of delivery for addiction services that is in accordance with our treatment philosophy. Provide practical tools that support the model for all SBH and integrate services with other divisions. Oversight of SMOC Behavioral Healthcare (SBH)’s Residential Recovery programs, Sage House, Serenity House, COE House and Rhodes to Recovery. Why Work for SMOC? Requirements

  • Master's or advanced graduate degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related discipline required.
  • Prior experience in mental health with a minimum of 2 years substance abuse or mental health experience.
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in residential or inpatient level of care.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison with DPH in all phases of licensing, regulations and compliance.
  • Oversees the management and operations of SBH's 4 Residential Recovery Programs
  • Manages the relationship with BSAS (Bureau of Substance Addiction Services)
  • Participate in ongoing development of recovery model structure and system for SBH and larger agency by sharing evidence-based addiction recovery practices for SMOC residential recovery programs.
  • Attend a variety of external meetings including Quarterly DPH regional meeting in Canton, monthly Association of Behavioral Healthcare (ABH) meetings and other meetings as deemed necessary.
  • Provide supervision and oversight to Program Directors and Clinical Directors of each program, and monitor overall quality including charts, curriculum, intake process, and referral process and data collection.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of community resources and service providers as well as working knowledge of regional and national evidence-based practices in the field of substance abuse and addiction.
  • Work with other members of SBH’s senior management team to pursue an aggressive vision for the residential programs that modernizes and grows the program.
  • Collaborate and network with DPH, DMH, PES, area hospitals, courts and other community-service providers on behalf of SBH residential recovery program participants when appropriate.
  • Facilitate client access to medication assisted treatment and promote harm reduction strategies.
  • Collaborate with development team in grant making, project planning and implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate residential program care teams with outpatient recovery supports, primary care, supportive housing.
  • Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the department to include: staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals for residential recovery programs.
  • Use data to continually monitor progress toward financial performance indicators and clinical benchmarks.
  • Recruit, manage, develop and evaluate staff by providing timely mentoring, supervision, training and performance management. Complete required paperwork in accordance with company policy.
  • Interface with agency department heads including accounts payable and receivable, IT support, and facilities and maintenance.
  • Engage all clients by understanding and addressing their needs whether within or outside the scope of your specialty.
  • Attend & participate in engagement team meetings, follow up with client service plans and communicate effectively with clients and staff in other specialty areas.
  • Ensure compliance with program/department, agency and/or funder requirements, as well as, SMOC policies & procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
