About The Position

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) powers Oracle’s global cloud services through highly available, large-scale, enterprise-grade data center environments. The Data Center Infrastructure Operations / Facilities team plays a critical role in sustaining OCI’s performance, security, and operational resilience by ensuring infrastructure systems operate reliably at scale. You will join a technically rigorous organization with a culture grounded in operational excellence, disciplined processes, and continuous improvement, where infrastructure reliability, safety, and execution quality are foundational to delivering cloud services worldwide. Role Overview As Director, Rack Deployment Operations, you will own global execution of rack deployment programs that directly enable capacity growth. This role is accountable for delivery velocity, quality, safety, and schedule certainty across regions.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience leading large-scale rack deployment or field engineering programs.
  • Proven ability to manage global vendors and distributed execution teams.
  • Strong operational leadership, supplier negotiation, and process improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Direct multidisciplinary teams through rack deployment lifecycle: planning, installation, turnover, and operational readiness.
  • Define KPIs and executive reporting for deployment throughput, quality, and defect reduction.
  • Own vendor, logistics, and supply chain relationships to ensure consistent material availability and execution.
  • Identify and mitigate deployment risks, schedule conflicts, and systemic delays.
  • Standardize deployment processes to improve repeatability and scale.

  • Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
