About The Position

The Role Reporting to the Head of Operations and Business Development, you will be responsible for delivering quality solutions for Fidelity Investment Life Insurance (FILI) by supporting the successful planning, execution, and delivery of cross-enterprise insurance related initiatives while ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. The Program Manager works in conjunction with FILI and cross-enterprise leaders at the portfolio and program level to coordinate initiatives by providing oversight from initial assessment through solution launch with an emphasis on business readiness activities. This role will be primarily focused on supporting cross domain work to launch new insurance products, as well as other strategic insurance initiatives across the organization. Organizing, collaborating to set success measures, and monitoring assigned initiatives to support the organization's key objectives Partnering with cross-functional teams-including Actuarial, Underwriting, Product, Operations, and Technology-to ensure alignment and integration of deliverables across domains Working with program/initiative teams to manage issues and risks throughout project lifecycle Facilitation of initiative business readiness activities including planning and deployment of product improvements Providing status updates on a regular basis to FILI leadership and key partners for assigned initiatives Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance program delivery efficiency, stakeholder engagement, and overall initiative outcomes The Team This role will be a critical member within FILI's Operations and Strategy team. FILI is responsible for providing financial products that help Fidelity's investors achieve lifetime financial goals. Having annuity and life insurance solutions as options is a strategic advantage for Fidelity's Brokerage and Wealth Management business units. Our products help ensure our clients do not outlive their assets in retirement, safeguard portfolios from market volatility and protect against premature death.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of related program management experience in financial services, systems development, product development, and/or project/program management
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Well-demonstrated leadership skills, a strong sense of ownership, and dedication to results
  • Change Management leadership including leading teams through resistance to change
  • Ability to lead, direct, and empower product and technology team members without formal management authority
  • Strong consultative, listening, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Critical thinker with good judgment and initiative
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and influence at all levels of management and peers
  • Excellent command of verbal and written communications
  • Highly organized with ability to meet internal goals

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with insurance is a plus
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum, SAFe, and Six Sigma is beneficial
  • Ability to understand sophisticated business environments and interdependent relationships for business requirements
