About The Position

The Program Management Role of Engineering in the OCI Data & AI services group will be responsible for development, design, global operations, planning, forecasting and execution of a critical Cloud Service. Responsibilities of this role include: Setting the technical direction for the architectural in collaboration with other senior technical resources. Developing strategic plans to accomplish technical as well as business objectives in partnership with leaders across various Oracle business groups and customers. Drive innovation through advancement of OCI data services. Management responsibility over multiple software engineering teams. Building high performing geographically distributed engineering teams through hiring and coaching. Establish and implement engineering strategies that align with applicable standards and regulatory practices Responsibilities As a Director Program Management of the software engineering division, you will apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional software development experience with an advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Cloud Operations/Cloud Infrastructure Engineering preferably in a multinational organization.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and developing engineering program focused teams
  • Experience in managing large teams, and engineering managers.
  • Passion for fixing problems with curiosity
  • Strong analysis and reporting skills with attention to detail and accuracy at the senior executive level
  • Ability to collect, organize, and display data in consumable format
  • Able to meet quick turnaround times in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in working across business units and with cross-functional collaboration
  • Embrace and adopt to quick changes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
