About The Position

The Program Management Excellence (PMX) organization within the Space and Mission Systems (SMS) Segment is seeking an experienced leader to drive program performance and execution excellence. The Director for Program and Pursuit Performance reports directly to the Vice President, SMS PMX and leads a staff responsible for segment-level capabilities in program assist, proposal assist, independent review, and program planning and scheduling. This role is pivotal in driving consistent processes, best practices, and programmatic support across SMS programs, ensuring the long-term success of programs and business. The successful candidate should be a strategic and collaborative leader with experience in Program Management along with the ability to develop and implement cohesive enterprise strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience; Or, Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 19 years of prior related experience

  • Experience presenting to all levels of leadership
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVMS), standard program reporting metrics, and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • Active Top Secret or Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategy for segment-wide program and pursuit performance
  • Lead a team to provide standardized support for independent reviews, program assist, pursuit assist, and program planning capabilities
  • Collaborate with business and functional leadership to enhance program performance and address significant challenges
  • Ensure proposal adequacy and execution readiness, lead Non-Advocate Reviews and prepare programs for Integrated Baseline Review (IBR)
  • Assist program teams with the development of quality, compliant baseline plans
  • Support CEAC development and ensure application of scheduling principles
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for the PMX team
  • Develop relationships with geographically dispersed team members
  • Ability to obtain US Government security clearance
  • Travel up to 50%
