About The Position

The Director of Program Management Office will strategically lead the prioritization and optimization of the Infrastructure portfolio, ensuring effective execution of programs and projects across their full lifecycle. This role is responsible for maximizing resource utilization, anticipating and managing portfolio change requests, risks, issues, and ensuring timely, accurate status reporting. Accountable for overseeing large-scale, complex initiatives—including multiyear, multiregional, and cross-functional programs—from pilot through full enterprise deployment, this leader ensures alignment with business goals and delivery of measurable value. Responsibilities include managing scope, schedule, budget, and post-deployment performance of the portfolio.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of program and project management leadership
  • 5+ years of working in IT Portfolio Management
  • Management of a team of at least 5 direct reports in addition to indirect resources that include matrix leadership & responsibilities.
  • 5 years’ experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project and Smartsheets or equivalent
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge in multiple areas of IT Infrastructure (i.e. Data center compute, storage, networking, voice, cloud, end user technology)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education & experience.
  • Define and lead portfolio prioritization of programs and projects, approach, assumptions, dependencies, risk, and budget.

Responsibilities

  • Own onboarding of large projects and programs to deliver approved business functionality to Sysco.
  • Define and lead portfolio prioritization of programs and projects, approach, assumptions, dependencies, risk, and budget.
  • Partner with all stakeholders and dependent projects leads to develop detailed project portfolio plan.
  • Oversee portfolio of project budgets, including purchases and contracts, and monthly spend and resource forecasting to enhance cost and resource efficiency.
  • Serves as final point of escalation in remediation of risks, issues, or requests.
  • Evaluates impact of scope changes on the projects and how it may interact with other projects.
  • Drives, develops and delivers presentations on portfolio of projects in addition to ensure communications between stakeholders of dependent projects and with senior management.
  • Leads a global team of Program and Project Management resources.
