Director, Product Design (NetSec)
About The Position
As our cybersecurity platform evolves into an AI-native ecosystem, we are entering a phase where architectural integrity and intellectual leadership matter as much as execution velocity. The Director of UX Architecture & AI Experience Strategy will define the long-range experience model for our platform — ensuring that AI capabilities, personalization, research rigor, and interaction principles scale coherently across product families. This role does not operate as a centralized service function. Instead, it serves as the architectural authority responsible for setting the quality bar, defining experience frameworks, and accelerating innovation across domains. You will work horizontally across SASE, Firewall+, and AIRS to ensure that our UX evolves as a cohesive, AI-driven system rather than a collection of feature teams. Core Mandate Architect the future state of NetSec UX. This includes: Defining cross-product AI interaction models, including Copilot, AI Canvas, and personalization frameworks Establishing experience principles and architectural standards that unify multiple product domains Elevating research rigor through clear study design standards, synthesis frameworks, and evidence-based decision models Leading executive-level concept incubation and validation initiatives Identifying systemic UX risk, fragmentation, and duplication across domains Designing the long-range UX operating model required to support an AI-accelerated roadmap
Requirements
- 10+ years in product design and experience strategy, including experience shaping complex platforms
- Demonstrated ability to define interaction architecture across multiple product domains
- Proven success leading AI-enabled experience initiatives
- Strong research literacy and experience establishing study rigor and synthesis frameworks
- Executive-level communication skills and comfort operating in ambiguity
- Experience guiding senior designers and researchers through architectural and strategic work
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the interaction model for AI-enabled experiences across the portfolio. Ensure coherence in conversational UX, contextual assistance, automation visibility, and user trust patterns.
- Establish and uphold standards for research design, interpretation, and synthesis. Serve as intellectual authority on evidence-driven decision making across the UX organization.
- Lead rapid concept development and validation initiatives in partnership with product and engineering leadership. Translate exploratory work into structured, testable experience hypotheses.
- Drive alignment between product families to reduce fragmentation, eliminate redundant experimentation, and reinforce architectural integrity.
- Define how design, research, and AI workflows evolve over the next 18–36 months to support scale, speed, and sophistication.
