We are actively seeking a Director, Product & Corporate Communications to join our Marketing Communications practice. This role focuses on leading product communications for pharmaceutical and biotech clients, while also supporting broader corporate communications, reputation, and patient advocacy and engagement efforts. It is a senior, client-facing role for someone who understands how regulatory milestones, clinical data, and product narratives shape corporate brand and trust. This role is part strategist, part operator, and full-time leader. You can counsel senior clients, orchestrate complex workstreams, and inspire teams to deliver bold, high-quality work in fast-moving environments.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in a public relations agency, with deep experience in pharmaceutical or biotech product and corporate communications.
  • Demonstrated expertise in regulatory milestones, clinical data communications, and product launches.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical regulatory environment and experience working with MLR partners.
  • Ability to translate complex scientific information into clear, credible communications.
  • Experience integrating product communications into broader corporate communications strategies.
  • Working knowledge of patient advocacy and engagement approaches, and an understanding of how patient perspectives can strengthen trust, credibility and long-term corporate reputation.
  • Strong client management, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing teams and multiple workstreams in fast-paced environments.
  • A demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and to creating environments where people can do their best work.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Oncology is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the day-to-day client support for product communications work across one or more pharmaceutical or biotech accounts.
  • Lead communications around clinical data readouts, regulatory submissions and decisions, approvals, label updates, and other major product milestones.
  • Develop and execute product communications strategies that translate complex data into clear, differentiated narratives grounded in patient relevance and unmet need.
  • Ensure product communications are aligned with broader corporate brand and reputation narratives.
  • Integrate patient advocacy and engagement considerations into product and corporate communications – ensuring patient perspectives strengthen credibility, trust and long-term commitment.
  • Counsel clients on timing, risk, and opportunity around regulatory, data-driven, and patient-facing moments.
  • Partner closely with medical, legal, regulatory, and compliance teams to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee development of core materials, including press releases, Q&A, backgrounders, messaging, and executive prep – ensuring consistency across product, corporate, and advocacy-adjacent narratives.
  • Support development of scopes of work, staffing plans, and budgets.
  • Identify organic growth opportunities within existing clients related to product lifecycle communications.
  • Contribute to new business efforts, including pitch development and participation as needed.
  • Help evolve the agency’s product communications offering by sharing best practices and POVs.
  • Ensure high-quality, efficient delivery of work that strengthens client relationships and retention.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members, setting clear expectations and providing actionable feedback.
  • Review work to ensure accuracy, strategic rigor, and client-ready quality.
  • Partner with senior leaders on staffing and resourcing across product workstreams.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.
  • Model strong leadership behaviors and uphold the agency’s values and DE&I commitments.
