About The Position

As Director, Print & Mail Services, you will play a pivotal, highly visible role in shaping and scaling a core business function that directly impacts revenue, client satisfaction, and operational excellence across the NYC metro area. This is not a “keep-the-lights-on” role — it’s an opportunity to own, modernize, and grow a full suite of high-quality business printing, fulfillment, and outsourced mailroom services. In addition to ensuring day-to-day operational excellence, you will be trusted to drive strategic growth, identify new revenue opportunities, and elevate the department’s market presence. If you bring deep expertise in digital printing and in-house mass mailing, thrive in environments where leadership truly matters, and are energized by building high-performing teams and sustainable systems, this role offers the chance to make a lasting, measurable impact within a growing, mission-driven organization.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience (ideally 5+ years) leading digital printing and in-house mailing operations, with responsibility for both people and performance.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience that reflects strong operational and commercial judgment.
  • Technical fluency with digital printing and mailing equipment, systems, and supporting technologies.
  • A proven ability to drive sales, grow revenue, and expand market presence through strategic, relationship-based business development.
  • A strong sense of urgency and exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a leadership style that balances accountability, collaboration, and results.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as operational needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing daily print and mail operations to optimize workflows, enhance productivity, increase efficiencies, and ensure consistently high-quality, on-time delivery of services across multiple locations.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of print and mail professionals — including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management — to cultivate a motivated, accountable, and engaged workforce.
  • Actively pursuing and developing new revenue streams through strategic sales initiatives, including identifying growth opportunities, deepening existing client relationships, and expanding the department’s overall market footprint.
  • Serving as a senior point of escalation for customer inquiries and concerns, resolving issues decisively and professionally while strengthening long-term client trust and satisfaction.
  • Preparing and managing the departmental budget, monitoring financial performance throughout the year, and implementing strategies to improve profitability while maintaining fiscal discipline.
  • Managing inventory of printing materials and supplies to ensure operational readiness across all locations, while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
