About The Position

This role will build and lead Datadog’s new centralized pricing function, developing a clear, scalable approach to how we price and package our products. The Director will partner closely with Product, Finance, and GTM teams to design pricing models that make it easier for customers to buy, adopt, and grow with Datadog. This is a highly visible, high-impact role that will shape how Datadog captures value across its expanding platform and will own key monetization and operational responsibilities as the function scales. Requirements

  • Proven pricing and monetization leader with deep experience in high-growth SaaS or cloud platforms. (10+ years)
  • Strategic and analytical operator who connects product telemetry, customer economics, and go-to-market execution with a strong understanding of usage-based and value-based business models.
  • Excellent communicator who can clearly distill complex pricing concepts into clear narratives and can align cross-functional executives and internal teams around a unified pricing vision.
  • Skilled at connecting business strategy to pricing outcomes that drive adoption, expansion, and retention, using data and insights to inform complex tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Datadog’s pricing and monetization vision to align customer value with company growth objectives.
  • Develop and execute strategies that make Datadog’s platform easier to buy, adopt, and expand across customer segments.
  • Partner across Product, Finance, and GTM teams to ensure pricing models reflect value delivered and support sustainable revenue growth.
  • Lead data-driven pricing research and analytics to evaluate elasticity, usage behavior, and margin impact, guiding decisions that simplify offerings and improve predictability for customers.
  • Build and scale pricing governance that ensures consistency, transparency, and discipline across product lines and deal models.
  • Champion a customer-first approach to pricing that reinforces trust, transparency, and long-term partnership.
