About The Position

We're looking for a Director of PR & Communications who can craft and amplify the GlossGenius story across every audience that matters - investors, employees, customers, and the broader market. This role is for a natural storyteller who sees the connections between different narratives and knows how to make them resonate with distinct stakeholders while building toward a unified brand vision. You'll own our external communications strategy and execution, translating our product innovation and market momentum into compelling narratives that demonstrate GlossGenius’ category leadership. You will report to the Chief Business Officer. You must be commutable to our NYC headquarters. We default to being in-office 3-4 days per week with required attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years in communications, with time at a top-tier PR agency and running in-house communications programs
  • Proven track record crafting narratives for fast-growing tech companies and brands loved by customers
  • Experience managing integrated communications across investor announcements, employer brand, and customer marketing
  • Portfolio demonstrating earned media placements in business and tech publications
  • Exceptional storytelling: you can take complex ideas and make them compelling for any audience
  • Strategic thinking: You see how individual communications efforts ladder up to broader positioning goals
  • Execution excellence: You balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and attention to detail
  • Excited by a fast-paced environment and moving quickly to disrupt the status quo

Responsibilities

  • Craft compelling narratives and communications strategies that serve investor, employee, and customer audiences simultaneously
  • Connect dots between our founding story, product vision, and market opportunity in ways that feel authentic and differentiated
  • Build and execute media strategies and programs that earn coverage in top-tier business, tech, and industry publications
  • Cultivate relationships with journalists and secure strategic placements that advance our positioning
  • Partner with founders and executive leadership on thought leadership content, speaking opportunities, and public positioning across owned and earned properties
  • Draft and refine executive content including LinkedIn posts, blog announcements, keynote talking points, and media interviews
