About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Director to lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities for our Land and Power team, with a strong emphasis on substation infrastructure, EPC projects, and behind-the-meter power generation. This role will ensure cost-effective, timely, and compliant procurement of goods and services critical to our power delivery and land development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in energy infrastructure, EPC projects, or substation projects.
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
  • Strong knowledge of power systems, substations, EPC delivery models, and behind-the0beter generation technologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards in the energy sector.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
  • Understanding of renewable energy projects, distribution generation, and grid integration.
  • Ability to manage complex, multi-million-dollar procurement portfolios.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Procurement Leadership: Develop and execute procurement strategies for substation equipment, transmission infrastructure, EPC contracts, and distributed energy resources (DER) behind the meter.
  • Drive supplier negotiations to achieve optimal pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Vendor & Contract Management: Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers specializing in substation systems, EPC services, and on-site generation technologies (solar, battery storage, CHP).
  • Oversee contract drafting, compliance, and risk mitigation for high-value agreements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, project management, and land acquisition teams to align procurement plans with project timelines.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting for procurement spend.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and company policies.
  • Monitor market trends and supply chain risks in the energy sector.
  • Performance Optimization: Implement KPIs for supplier performance and procurement efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes.
