About The Position

We are seeking a Director, Portfolio Implementation as part of our Private Client Group at our downtown Cleveland, Ohio wealth management firm. This position will be responsible for investment portfolio implementation and proactive portfolio oversight while maintaining the Clearstead Investment Philosophy, as part of Cleveland’s Private Client Services team. In this position you will: Coordinate with Head of Investment Solutions to develop, lead, and refine firm private client portfolio implementation strategy, initiatives, procedures and best practices Communicate portfolio updates and rebalance initiatives to client advisors, portfolio managers and clients, as needed Manage, review and assist in maintaining client databases and investment policy information to uphold data integrity Advanced understanding of Clearstead reporting and trading software systems to analyze and manage client portfolios Coordinate with Central Trading to develop, communicate and refine procedures to maximize reporting and trading software systems for PCS use Assist in PCS investment implementation integration across the enterprise, in support of One Clearstead Manage Cleveland PCS portfolio management quarterly billing process Use internal systems to manage work efforts and communicate effectively to drive consistent and professional client experiences Develop advanced knowledge of clients through reading internal CRM notes, studying client files, and collaborating with team members Organize and track client assignments to efficiently manage work-load Assist with audit of client investment reports for accuracy and crafts impactful deliverables Evaluate prospect investment data and collaborate with team members in a positive and passionate manner to win new business Maintain command of capital market dynamics and economic landscape, portfolio theory, market history and trends, and appreciation of individual investor behavioral traits Regularly communicate with Research Department on investment strategy Participate in Investment Research and Asset Allocation Committee meetings Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 7+ years of investment and financial market experience within a professional services firm; experience within a financial services or wealth advisory firm a plus
  • Strong interest in investments
  • General familiarity with market history and trends
  • Ability to work under pressure, organize and manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment where time management, attention to detail, follow-through and meeting deadlines are critical
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Strong computer proficiency (e.g. Power Point, Word, Excel, Adobe and Outlook)
  • Demonstrated client service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong team player with the ability to interact with staff at all levels of the organization
