As a Director, Organic Search on the Digital Marketing team, a typical day for you will include: Develop and execute a forward-thinking organic search strategy and roadmap for Neighborly brands, including budget management and traffic/lead forecasting. Define and enforce organic best practices and content guidelines across internal teams and external vendors, ensuring compliance with Google and Large Language Models (LLM) standards. Lead, mentor, and retain a high-performing team of organic search managers and specialists; foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning. Direct optimization strategies across on-page, off-page, technical SEO, and schema markup; share insights with paid media and content teams for holistic performance. Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for website development, migrations, and technical SEO metrics such as Core Web Vitals and site speed. Provide thought leadership on industry trends, Google algorithm updates, and LLM advancements to internal stakeholders and franchise owners.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in SEO leadership roles with a proven track record of strategic thinking, expertise in Google Business Profile optimization, and passion for emerging technologies such as LLMs.
  • Proven experience managing, hiring, and mentoring SEO teams, including remote team members.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like SEMrush, Botify, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEO Radar, and Local Falcon.
  • Deep expertise in on-page, technical SEO, backlink strategies, and understanding of search engine and LLM ranking factors.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools such as Accuranker, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships to achieve KPIs within budget.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Digital Marketing; or a related field
